Directions
Arrival by car / caravan
Directly on the N108 in Piares is the exit into Rua do Valdonedo.
As soon as you have turned into the driveway, there is a parking lot on the left after approx. 100m, where you have the possibility to park your car or your camper/caravan.
If you continue on foot from the parking lot along the driveway, the entrance is on your left.
There are also a few parking spaces for small cars here.
There is a turning area for small cars at the end of the driveway.
Arrival by train
From Porto, you have the option of traveling to Marco de Canaveses by train.
Marco de Canaveses is the next largest town near Piares (approx. 20 minutes away by car). The train ride takes about 1 hour. More information at https://de.omio.com/.
Arrival by bus
You can get the bus connection from Marco de Canaveses to Piares, for example, at www.transdev.pt. Piares is located in Penha Longa in the "Tamega e Sousa" area.
Arrival by plane
The nearest airport is "Aeroporto Francisco Sá Carneiro" in Porto.
If your exact time of arrival is known, a pick-up shuttle can be organized.

Accommodation
In addition to the possibility of staying overnight in your caravan/mobile home, there is also the option of camping.
The extensive grounds invite you to pitch a tent.
It may also be possible to use airbnb rooms about 30 minutes from Valdonedo.

If you are not a fan of camping, there is also the option of staying at the Douro Hotel, which is a little more expensive and has a very nice ambience.
You could also try staying in an Airbnb apartment in Porto and traveling to the class by train till Marco de Canaveses. Porto is only an hour away. There are also Airbnb options in the area of Penha Longa and Marco de Canaveses.
